Carol Esperanza Alata uses she/her pronouns and is a Junior studying Computational Neuroscience with a Biomedical Engineering Emphasis and minor in Native American Studies. She joined USC Healing Process because she believes in the authentic connection of healing through the creation of media.

I am currently a junior majoring in Human Biology with minors in Neuroscience and Health Care studies. I joined THP because I love how this magazine examines the beauty of medicine through a humanistic lens. I am excited to help spread stories that remind us of the essential nature of human connection in comprehensive healthcare.

Hi! My name is Charlotte Stiplosek and I am a sophomore double majoring in BME and Business Administration! I am super passionate about the intersection of humanities and medicine. As a recent emmener of THP, I am excited to help bridge this gap and a member of a community of like-minded, passionate individuals.

Joy Zhu

My name is Joy Zhu, and I am a senior majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Healthcare Studies. I am passionate about bridging the gap between the hard sciences and the business and policy side of medicine. I joined THP because I wanted to find a creative outlet that also allowed me to share the intricacies and complexity behind health and healing, especially in regards to harm reduction principles for people who use drugs. In my free time, I love to volunteer at the Crisis Text Line, hike, drink tea, and dance!
