Lois Albert Angelo - Co-Director of Copy Editing

Hi! I’m Lois, and I’m majoring in Human Development and Aging (Health Science track). I’m a Los Angeles native and happy dog owner. I joined THP to get a different perspective on working in the journalism and creative writing spaces. I had always been accustomed to very formal, prompt pieces of writing, so THP was a nice change of pace.

Shreya Kashyap - Co-Director of Copy Editing

My name is Shreya Kashyap, and I'm a junior at USC studying Human Biology, and minoring in Healthcare Studies and Healthcare Innovation. I joined The Healing Process because I'm passionate about the intersections between medicine and the humanities, and how we can tap into the emotions, conversations, and shared experiences that live in this junction. I endeavor to work in healthcare for my career, so it's been great finding different ways to connect with others about the humanity within this industry through all our student submissions.

Enrique martinez III

Enrique is a junior majoring in Literary Editing and Publishing and Narrative Studies and minoring in Web Technologies and Applications. Originally from Baldwin Park, CA, he is thrilled to be back on campus to work with The Healing Process.

Enrique joined The Healing Process because he is extremely passionate about the health humanities and believes that working within this field can help us not only reimagine forms of care and healing but also teach us a lot about the stories we tell about ourselves and the world around us.

Karla Vasquez

Hello! My name is Karla Vasquez, and I am a freshman studying Computer Engineering and Computer Science at USC. Although most of my time is dedicated towards learning math and tech, I enjoy the arts, especially writing! I joined THP because I want to put the editing skills I acquired when working on my high school's literary magazine to use at this stage of my educational journey too!

Riya Valaulikar

My name is Riya Valaulikar, and I’m a sophomore studying Environmental Science and Health with a minor in East Asian Languages and Cultures. I decided to join The Healing Process because I think telling stories is an extremely important aspect of health and healing that doesn’t get as much attention as it should. I’m excited to work on the magazine and see how each and every piece helps bridge the gap between health and the arts.
