Letter from the Editors

Letter from the Editor

Welcome to our first Letter from the Editors! This is a new beginning for all of us, and we couldn’t be more thankful for your continued readership.

Throughout our publication’s history, we have attempted to bridge the gap between the sciences and the humanities, offering a location for (mostly) pre-health students to express themselves through art, literature, and more.

This year, we’re changing all of that.

The Healing Process will no longer just be a home for art strictly bound to “healing”. We want to be a home for students of all majors and all backgrounds to contribute and create freely, in a variety of new mediums.

The central focus of our new direction will be our website: www.uschealingprocess.com. Every piece we accept will go up on our website, with its own dedicated page, complete with a bio and photo of the author. The website will allow us to accept a much broader range of pieces beyond writing and art: videos, multimedia, and songs will now all be accepted

We aim to publish a new “edition” of our magazine every few months, and pieces will be continuously published on our website as they are accepted. So check back regularly -- there’ll be something new every time you visit!

To all creators out there: submit now! Our first “issue” will have a deadline of December 16, and the themes of this issue will be Rebirth and Change. Try to aim at this theme, but of course, it’s very much open to interpretation. As usual, the link to submit will be on our website and our Instagram.

We are excited to launch the new, improved Healing Process.

Sincerely,

Nikhilesh and Ryan - Co-Editors in Chief

Lois Angelo and Shreya Kashyap - Co-Directors of Copy Editing

Rojan Javaheri - Director of Layout

Carol Alata - Director of Marketing
